Psalm 19:8: …. the statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing
the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;
The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: Statutes are the precepts, the rules for daily living.
As you study the Word you see Jesus.
He shows us the path of life because He is the Life!
You see His perfection.
You see His holiness
You see His Majesty!
He is worthy and the natural response is to worship. (John 14:6)
Worship and the Word are divinely knitted together.
If you feel empty and unable to praise, take time in Word.
Feed on it… behold Him high and lifted up.
Communion compels you to praise!
Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O Lord, God of hosts. ~ Jeremiah 15:16
But Thou art holy, O Thou that inhabits the praises of Israel. ~ Psalm 22:3
When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. ~ Psalm 94:19
Let my lips burst forth with praise, for you have taught me your principles. ~ Psalm 119:171
The “Prince of Preachers,” Charles Haddon Spurgeon said this, “Mark the progress; he who was converted, was next made wise, and is now made happy; that truth which makes the heart right then gives joy to the right heart. Free grace brings heart joy.”
